How do you make the double barrel stitch?

pick 3 colors then take one and make that string longer. Take a small string and make a 2 loops then take the other small string and make 2 loops. After that take the long string and go over the 1st loop then under the 2nd loop, over the 3rd loop and under the 4th loop. Then repeat from the side you ended on. keep doing that until your whole string is full.
