Who owns Sonic Drive-In?

Sonic Corporation, which is based in Oklahoma City. Originally cal Top Hat Drive in, the name was changed to Sonic when the owners learned Top Hat was copyrighted.

The first locaton was in Shawnee, OK, near OKC. The first franchise was opened in 1956 in Woodward, OK.
