A group of ice is commonly referred to as an "ice floe" when it consists of large, flat pieces of floating ice on the surface of a body of water. In a more general sense, a collection of ice can also be called "ice pack" or "ice field," especially when it covers a larger area. In polar regions, large formations of ice can also be called "icebergs" if they break off from glaciers or ice shelves.
