Does homeowner insurance cover replacing subflooring?

It depends on why it's being replaced.

Is it damaged from a covered peril such as fire, wind, hail etc? if yes it would be covered.

Are you updating your flooring due to wear or taste? maintenance and upgrade is not a covered loss.
