In essence, yes. They were rudimentary at best. Wind power, man power, and steam engines when invented in 1712 would be later installed and create a landslide event that would lead up to 1908 when Henry Ford created the first production automobile, the Model T; which would later be classified as making vehicles popular. So yes and no. Depends on the classification of "Car."
