Are bearded dragon lizars good pets?

They are Excellent pets for responsible children over age 10, and adults, who have the time and interest to take proper care of them. They are not low-maintenance pets, but must be fed fresh greens daily. In addition, babies must be fed multiple meals of insects every day (adults eat insects 2 or 3 times per week). The initial cost is high, due to the need for special heating, lighting, and an an appropriately large enclosure.

Absolutely buy a book on bearded dragon care before you consider acquiring one.

Reptiles are NOT affectionate, and do not seek out human companionship the way birds and mammals may, but bearded dragons can become very tame, and make interesting and entertaining pets.
