What does Obama think about using alternative fuels instead of foreign oil?

Obama believes America has a need for energy conservation and alternative energy. Obama supports a 10 year plan to eliminate America's addiction to foreign oil by building windmills and solar cells to generate electricity. Such a large program would create tens or hundreds of thousands of new manufacturing jobs, putting more Americans into high paying manufacturing jobs. America's auto manufacturers have already begun building the first of the new breed of electric cars such as the Volt. Imagine plugging your car into a regular electric outlet to recharge the batteries instead of going to the gas station and with your gasoline purchase, supporting unstable foreign countries! So, you will benefit by breathing cleaner air, no longer living in a country dependant on unstable countries for our daily oil, and living in a country where more people have good paying jobs which raises everybody's living standard. Obama believes that this program will take 10 years to implement, but in the long term America will be independent from foreign oil suppliers that have America under their control.
