This really ought to answered by a neurologist...~!~ The bowel incontinence would be treated by a colostomy ( for cleanliness). The problem with myelomalacia is that once the protein insulation (the myelin) is gone, nerves begin shorting out and no longer sending/receiving signals from the part of the body then innervate (make work or feel)... Are you sure these events are related???
