Eating healthy can make you strong, because protein is the building blocks that builds your muscles and makes them stronger. All proteins are not created equal either. When I was doing a study on proteins I found that animal and whey proteins strengthened and built muscles more so than whey protein. Of course good carbs are what help give you the energy to make it through your workouts. Too many carbs or empty carbs, just get stored as fat if you don't burn them all off.
