Jaguar XK8 how to program key?

hi there, i though ill help a little , and not just ask and wait for answers . myself i have a xk8 - 4.l - 1997 model, i had the same problem. the solution is to take it to an aproved jaguar dealer , is not expensive to reprogram , or reset. mine waz around 25 quid, maybe i waz lucky. also..have u checked the batteries? if they r the rite ones?
