How do you fix the magnet train in Pokemon gold?

In the Pokemon Gold and Pokemon Silver Video Games, the Magnet Train must be fixed after the player completes the main quest in Cerulean City. The player must defeat the Team Rocket members there and take back the stolen part from the Magnet Train, which is in the Cerulean Gym. Returning the stolen part to the Power Plant will fix the Magnet Train.
