How do you catch a Pineco in Pokemon Silver?

One of youre Pokemon needs to have the move headbutt then talk to a tree the one's that look like christmass trees and you'll have to do in the afternoon then just shake the trees a couple of times with headbutt and you will begin a fight against caterpie or if youre lucky pineco

Pineco is quite rare and even if you do see one and it escapes you cannot look on the pokedex to see where it might appear....headbutting trees is your only hope of finding one (unless you have a game shark) but to improve the chances of finding one if you headbutt trees in between 3:30 and 4 in the afternoon, then you probably will come across one... try headbutting trees on route 39 (that's where i found mine)
