Who is David Lenz?

I assume you are referring to David Lenz, the artist. Lenz is from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and he is a widely praised (and award-winning) realist painter. He is known for his beautiful and humane depictions of ordinary men and women, including farm families, people who live in his neighborhood, children from different races playing together, and people with disabilities. For example, in 2006, he won first prize in the Smithsonian's National Portrait Gallery Competition for Sam and the Perfect World, which portrays his young son, who has Down's syndrome.
