How do you dodge a blue shell on Mario kart wii?

There are many ways of escaping a Blue shell but mostly all of them are tricky:

1) If you have another player near you quickly brake and let the other person pass you then the blue shell will change target and attach the others... [Many players on Wi-Fi do this, but if the person in 2nd place brakes too you might be better off just going.]

2) use either a star or the bullet bill [or a Boo] if you are lucky enough to find one for example some times you get a star at first place from the item box on the snowy hill at DK Pass.

3) when you have one mushroom wait until the blue shell is about to hit you then in the right time use the mushroom and escape the blast... (this is possible as i tried it allot of times before)

4) depending on where you are some time you can smash your self against a wall and it will explode my it's self (i only seen this one happen)

5) If you're approaching a sharp turn, drift into it, set your tires on fire, then right when it's about to hit, release the R Button and quickly press it again and it might miss you. I recommend you look on YouTube for this. It can only be easily done on 150cc.

6) Fall off the track just before it hits. (This will make the shell miss, but don't do it.)

If you have a Spiny Shell in 1st place, DO NOT THROW IT! (Unless you want to get blown up.)
