Ovulating Ovulating not necessarily. It should, but even if you are infertile your body will go through the motions of ovulating. Technically you ovulate, then you shed the uterus lining (your Period). You are supposed to drop your egg. If the egg gets fertilized it stays put and you don't get your period. If you are infertile, you do everything but drop the egg.
