Why don't we all use the same system to measure stuff with?

The metric system is widely used for its simplicity and ease of conversion, while the imperial system remains prevalent in some countries due to tradition and existing infrastructure. Additionally, the transition to a unified system can be costly and complex, leading to resistance to change. Consequently, diverse measurement systems coexist globally.
