If you have not received your tax refund, there is a probability that the IRS has not received your prepared return. If the return was filed electronically then you want to make sure that you received a confirmation that it was received. Sometimes these electronic returns are rejected by the IRS because of missing information or authorization. The other reason could be that you have a tax debt for past years, in which case the IRS would take the refund due to you and apply it toward your tax liability, this is true whether you have entered an installment agreement or currently not collectible status or not addressed the issue at all. Either way you need to contact the IRS immediately and make sure you find out the reason why this is. Do not be afraid to contact them, most of the time they'll be very polite and answer your questions in addition to letting you know how to fix the problem. Hope this helps.
