Does little girl in Man on Fire movie die?

I did not see this picture so I am somewhat puzzled. Title may have something to do with fire fighting, but then movies do have elusive, evasive titles- Imitation of Life was about Race-mixing, not artists. It is very rare in movie making that a child character is deliberately killed off as part of a plot, even in films dealing with abduction and child-abuse. The death of a Girl Child- is beyond Words, anguish.
