Can you just add more oil to your lawn mower?

You can always add more oil to your mower as long as you don't fill it past the full line on the dipstick or past the full level if it just has a plug. If you want your mower enigne to last you do need to change the oil occasionally. Once a year is recommended unless you use it in severe applications.
