Can you get an MRI with an internal bone growth stimulator in your back?

If there is metal in the bone growth stimulator, absolutely not! The MRI has a giant magnet in side it. That is why the signs are posted all around the exam room to keep metals away from the area. New maintenance guy left a pipe-wrench lying on the table while he was doing something else. He left the room without it.
