Why is there pet stuff in Sims 2 Castaway for PC?

The reason there is pet objects on the sims castaway is because you can also have a hyena when you beat story mode and get to free mode. I've been trying to get some but their timing is very detailed. they only come out at night, when there's 2 or 3 blue dots, and they're are only in one spot of the map everynight but it changes. I've heard buccaneer cove, barren banks, and scavvenger fields. Becarful when you try to befriend and adopt them, they may attack! Happy Simming!
