Do sharks eat their way out of the womb?

I don't believe so, although in one species of shark, an unborn shark will set about killing it's unborn siblings and gradually eating their remains until it is born. All I can say about this is that the mother must have an amazing immune system not to get ill from the rotting remains within her. Some species of sharks are born encased in eggs.
