Odeng is Korean fishcake and is usually made of parts of fish that cannot be sold and from fish that are too small to go to market. In this way Korean and Japanese fisherman are able to sell off that part of their catch which fishermen in the West typically have to waste by throwing it back into the sea (dead) because there is only demand for large size fish.
It contains more protein than your average sausage in the supermarket and is pound for pound better and healthier than eating meat products as sausages/pies/patties/spam which usually contain 30% of skin/connective tissue as part of their meat content as well as MRM, mechanically recovered meat.
