Why weren't any European nations in favor in the European union?

Countries are in favour of it. It would not exist if they weren't. It officially came into existence in November 1993, with 12 members. 16 more countries have joined since then, and a number of other European countries also want to join. There are some people in the different countries that don't like it, but the majority do like it, and no country has ever left it.
