Two thousand and seven pennies are worth more than two thousand and six pennies. Its just common math.

Because 2007 pennies are more than 2006 pennies

for the fact that its simply one more. As in $20.07and $20.08.

because according to today's economic system in the U.S 2007 was the last year befor the recessin thus making them worth more

there is one penny extra if there are 2007 pennies than 2006 pennies

They costed more to make in 2007 than in 2006. Duh.

it depends on which way you look at it, if you say two thousand and seven pennies are worth more than two thousand and six pennies, then its math, but technicaly as prices in the world are going up and down, other things will be cheaper, say you had 2p, and there are 2p sweats, you can buy one, but your penny becomes worth more if the price goes down to 1p then you can buy two!!!!

Because it is 2,007 vs. 2,006

the person who typed the stuff above doesnt get it... the person who asked the question, is talking about the year 2007 not the number 2,007.. ( well I think the person who asked the question is talking about the year)

i am the person who wrote this Q i am Voleyballgirl i am talking about $$$ not the year

A new answer: If you are talking about US cents, I do not know of any reason why a 2007 cent should be worth anymore than a 2006 cent. Both have the same melt value (actual value of the metals contained in them) of $0.0038663 cents as of June 22, 2009. Both have the same composition and the same weight. They are the same except for the date.
