Where did Metallica come from?

Lars Ulrich got the name after persuading a friend friend of his. His friend was not too sure what to call his new Metal Magazine he has a bunch names, and then when it boiled down to just to Metal Mania and Metallica, Lars persuaded him to go for Metal Mania so Lars can steel Metallica.

Lars was not good with band names at all. He would make names up that did not sound as good. If he did not see this name that his friend had and did not persuade him to use Metal Magazine NOT Metallica.... THEN Lars maybe stuck when it comes to choosing an ideal name for his band.
