Some paleontologists have advocated to create a separate class for dinosaurs, pterosaurs, crocodiles and birds called Archosauria (currently Archosauria is a subclass of Reptilia), although the prevailing opinion in the scientific community is that dinosaurs and their kin remain in Reptilia.
