How long do you have to wait before you can touch the puppys?

Mom should be with pups constantly for first 48hrs in warm, quiet, dimly lit room with limited contact only to change bedding and feed. On the 3rd day, after a feeding, Mom can be away for one hour at a time. But not more than twice a day. After 4weeks, Mom can be away for 3hrs at a time. After 6wks, Mom should spend 12 of every 24hrs with pups. After 8wks and pups are eating and drinking on own, Mom can be away for as long as she wants.
