Do you have the system with a key to un lock the radio? Just on the right side of the radio.
No, there is a rubber cap which I removed to see an obvious hole for a tumbler. Looking into the hole I see a metal bracket but it doesn't appear to move (in, out, up or down) as I thought it might be the release lever. The radio (am/fm cassette factory) seems to move slightly and I get the impression it's just a question of brut force to pull it out, but I don't want to try without knowing as I don't want to break it. I should add everything is working but I get a static crackly out of the right speaker and wondering if it's a bad connection at the back, hence the desire to remove the radio. Also when on the headset there is a low level of noise, but the cracling isn't present. And to make it more of a mystery all of this disappears when the tape is playing.
Go to Goldwingdocs.com and there are plenty of down loads to assist you. There is a Release lever you either push in or pull back and the radio will slide right out.
