How do you get water out of your house on Minecraft?

Make any size hole (Not too deep) Fill the sides first with water. Then go to the middle and fill it. Then do the ones beside the middle. Then fill in the last 2 low points in the water. Then, you should have endless water as long as you don't take the sides
