Where do harp seals go in the winter?

In the winter, harp seals migrate from their breeding grounds in the Arctic and sub-Arctic regions to areas with open water, often seeking leads in sea ice. They can be found in the North Atlantic and Arctic Oceans, where they hunt for food like fish and squid. Some populations may also move towards the coasts of Greenland and Canada.
