Why is the receiver's job lonely in The Giver?

The receiver's job is lonely for few reasons. To begin with, he's the only one that knows the truth about the community. For instance, he knows about why they e,iminated cokor and climate , and why they supressed emotions. Secondly, because he knows the truth , he tries to tell the community about the the truth but they dobot understand cz the dont have memories. For exanple, when jonas was trying to how the colors to asher ( btw touching is not allowed) by touchung his shoulder but asher got angry and took jonas's hsnd away. Hope it was helpful :p
