Should you take travelers checks on a cruise?

As with any any vacation, if you are planning to pay for your charges with cash, it is wise to convert the cash to traveler's checks for their inherent security values. However, virtually every cruise line accepts credit cards for your onboard charges. So, cash is really not neccessary. Contact your carrier or review your Passenger Ticket Contract for further details. Tip: Most cruises with a casino allow you to sign cash over to your onboard account for littke or no fee. If this is the case, use the casino cage to obtain cash during your vacation and earn points/frequent flyer miles at the same time!
