How do you cut asphalt?

A diamond saw would be the common tool - a metal saw which has the cutting edge impregnated with tiny diamonds. But NEVER cut iron or steel with a diamond saw - the diamonds will be absorbed into the molten iron (at the cutting face) as carbon!!
