What does a sheep tick look like?

A sheep tick, also known as the sheep tick or Ixodes ricinus, is a small, oval-shaped arachnid that can vary in color from reddish-brown to dark brown. They have a flat body before feeding, which can expand and become more rounded after engorging on blood. Adult ticks are typically around 3-5 mm in size, with eight legs and a distinctive mouthpart extending forward.
