Can you recycle in small ways?

Yes, you can bring all your glass and beer cans to the local bottle bank, and most towns will have a recycling centre where you can bring tetra paks, food tins, cardboard and even plastic. You could also invest in reusable bags (now widely available) for supermarket shopping, so you don't use up the plastic ones given away free at the till. This will dramatically reduce the amount of plastic you use up and the amount you throw in the bin.
