How many animals are there in Zoo Tycoon?

I am pretty sure they're 7 mythical creatures they are the... Yeti, Sasquatch, Unicorn, Giant Squid, Lochness Monster, and Evil penguin and the Mermaid. To unlock the Unicorn rename an exhibit Xanadu. To unlock the Evil Penguin, make a penguin exhibit and then put a zebra in the exhibit, the penguin will kill the zebra and it will become faster. To get the mermaid make an empty tank and put a mermaid statue in it.
