What kind of food does sharks get energy from?

Energy is contained within proteins, and whale sharks get their protein from krill and other small marine life. Sleeping in fact has nothing to do with gaining energy, although lack of sleep will make your brain hide energy from you in an attempt to slow you down and get you to sleep.
