India's environment is in great threatn why?

India's environment is in great threat because of decreasing area of forests and increasing number of vehicles and factories because of huge unaware & illitrate population. There is no proper protection of environment or Natural Resources such as - river like Ganga, hill stations, & tropical forests. There are no strict rules to control the endless pollution & population.
