How do I get this mp3 music player to work?

Okay so, a few years ago, I got this mp3 player(Element GC-922 2GB MP3 Player) I lost it, and just recently found it. I tried to charge it, and it is turning on, but it s staying on a blue screen with the hourglass... Then when I try to turn it on, it lights up, but stays on the hourglass page, I also tried resetting it, but it didn t do anything X) Maybe I am supposed to keep it on the charger for a long time because of how long it has been turned off? Or is it broken? Either way, does anyone have a manual or know how to fix this?
