Plants make there own food for what?

Plants make their own 'food' by converting the Sun's energy into photonic Food for the Plant.

Photosynthesis: light [and infra-red thermal] energy from the Sun is absorbed into their Cells and they produce the sugar GLUCOSE.

Biochemistry takes GLUCOSE and makes many, many other bio-molecules.
