The loud clunking noise from your left front tire could be due to several issues, particularly if you've recently installed new rims. It's possible that the new rims are not properly fitted or balanced, or there may be a problem with the wheel bearings, suspension components, or brakes. I recommend inspecting the installation of the rims and checking for any visible damage or looseness. If the sound persists, it's best to have a mechanic take a look to diagnose and resolve the issue safely.
