In Ender's Game what were the parents backgrounds?

Ender's father, John Paul Wiggin, is Catholic and from Poland, the seventh of nine children. He was recruited by the Hegemony and sent to live and study in America at six -- his documents show him and the rest of his family to be natural-born Americans.

Ender's mother, Theresa Wiggin (née Brown), is the daughter of Hinckley Brown, a famous military strategist who eventually resigned from the International Fleet because he disagreed with the population laws (Brown was Mormon).
