What was new or special about Andy Warhol's art work?

I just googled "what's so special about Andy warhol" and came up with this page. I can't figure it out either.

With age, I've learned to really appreciate modern art, so much in fact that almost no classical art touches me anymore. But Andy Warhol... I just don't see it. I don't see why his "art" is art. I don't see what his message is, well apart from saying "look around you: you are worshipping all sorts images", which is totally "duh, you didn't need to tell me that, I knew". I don't see why anybody would pay more than $100 for a piece of his work. I don't see why he is a legend. I don't even see why he is famous. I don't see anything special. At all.
