How many islands make up the Fiji Islands?

Fiji has a total of 322 islands, however, there are only two main islands, Viti Levu and Vanua Levu. This official total was obtained by counting the number of islands that exist when the tide is at 0, but tide variances may add or subtract the total number. Over 100 of these islands are inhabited, the rest are too often flooded or too small to inhabit.
