What eats a wild rose?

Goats. Incredible as this may sound - We have wild roses growing on our land and, as we don't like working with the plants ourselves, we just turn the goat lose on them. They just sort of twist their lips around a branch, go snip, crunch, crunch crunch, swallow and go back for another. Shudder to think how it must feel going down.
