To properly transplant a Rose of Sharon plant, choose a sunny location with well-draining soil. Dig a hole twice as wide as the plant's root ball and gently remove the plant from its current location, being careful not to damage the roots. Place the plant in the new hole at the same depth it was previously planted and backfill with soil. Water thoroughly and continue to water regularly until the plant is established in its new location.
