Why would my 2000 Mitsubishi Montero Sport be smoking from the exhaust after an oil change?

It could depends on what color the smoke is. If it is white smoke, water is leaking into the engine, If the smoke is black oil is leaking in your engine and you may want to check gaskets and seals.
