Is it normal for a dog to bleed 5 days after having 7 puppies?

My first question is, what does the blood look like? If it is small quantities, dark brown and not foul-smelling, this is called lochia and is normal. If the blood is red, clotted, in moderate to large quantities (more than a quarter cup) or has a foul smell to it, you should take your dog to the veterinarian immediately.
