There are so many reasons, including: creating your own schedule; working as little or as much as you would like; being your own boss, and not having to clock in and be told when you can eat, sleep or spend time with your family.

There's also the time and money saved by not having to drive to work each day; and the freedom to set your own dress code (except when teleconferencing, of course).
